SAN JORGE DE TANDAYAPA HUMMINGBIRD SANCTUARY LODGE

Cloud Forest

It is a rustic style eco-lodge situated in the heart of the famous Tandayapa Andean  Cloud Forest Reserve. We have been in operation since 2005 providing lodging and the chance for nature lovers and birdwatchers to immerse in the natural wonders of the primer cloud forest.

The lodge has been carefully designed to harmonize with the natural surroundings and it has been strategically built in a transitional area between the upper and the lower cloud forest to attract the highest possible number of hummingbirds and other bird species to our feeders and gardens. Our record is 65 species of birds at the feeders before breakfast. Tandayapa Valley holds the world record for hummingbird species recorded in one year, 43 species!
